Balea Bus
Balea Bus is a tourist transfer service between Sibiu and the Transfagarasan Road offered and operated by Carpathian Travel Center.

EUR 70,00 / adult / day-pass
EUR 40,00 / adult / one way ticket (available between 01.06.2025 and 30.09.2025)
- The day pass can be used only in the same day (TOUR & RETOUR HAS TO BE ON THE SAME DAY) !!!
For transfers between July and October, you have the option to add also the bus transfer from Balea Waterfall to Balea Lake, either one way or both ways .

Please note:
1) This is a tourist bus and will run by reservation only.
2) The reservation must be made online, at least 5 hours before departure.
3) Tour and return MUST BE ON THE SAME DAY!
4) Please be to the mentioned meeting point at least 10 minutes before the departure time.
5) When boarding please present the e-Ticket to the driver/dispatcher.
6) Cancellation of the reservation/e-ticket requires a notice of at least 5 hours before departure.
7) If the reservation is canceled less than 5 hours before departure, the penalty will be 100% of the cost of the reservation.
8) The duration of transfers is approximate, the exact duration will depend on the time of day and traffic conditions, which may cause delays of 1 - 2 hours. BALEA-Bus is not responsible for the loss of any connections you have booked with other transport companies.
9) BALEA-Bus reserves the right to change/cancel the program at least 24 hours before departure and will refund the booking costs, if applicable.
10) BALEA-Bus operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately.
11) BALEA-Bus reserves the right to refuse picking up customers who are visibly drunk or who have consumed hallucinogens.
12) The Transfagarasan road section between Balea Cascada and Balea Lac is operated by cable car. We are NOT responsible for the operating hours of the cable car, nor can we influence them.
13) Due to unfavorable weather conditions, the cable car from Balea Waterfall to Balea Lake or back may no longer work. In this case, BALEA-Bus will wait a maximum of 5 hours. If necessary, you must buy new tickets for the following days.
